We were given a sleeping bag from Bambino Merino for Imogen when she was first born, she loved it. Unfortunately it was a little too pink for Baby Joe, so I was over the moon when they sent a lovely blue one for him to try out and not wanting Imogen to feel left out they also sent her a lovely pair of Pyjamas. Here’s what we think of them.
Every garment in the Bambino Merino range is made from the finest merino wool. Silky soft merino is a breathable natural fibre which regulates body temperature, is kind to delicate skin, easy to care for, safe and great value.
Merino, unlike synthetics, breathes and allows your child skin to breathe. It creates a micro climate around your baby’s body regulating body temperature throughout the night. It keeps your baby cool in the summer and warm in the winter and prevents from overheating, a very important risk factor associated with Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
Their sleeping bags are suitable for use all year round, thanks to the merino, so there is no need to worry about Tog ratings and also no extra expense from season to season. This was one on the main reasons I loved Imogen’s so much. They are also adjustable so one size fits all, well from 2-3 months to 2 years anyway. Joseph was sent a lovely “Sky” sleeping bag in a very soft blue stripe and it matches his room perfectly. It’s beautifully soft and Joseph looked ever comfy as he slept soundly in it. It also has a full length zip, which is great for getting him in and out and also helpful for the night time nappy changes.
The Bambino Merino sleeping bags are available 5 different colours (Sage, Petal, Sand, Sky and Ruby) so are sure to match any nursery. They are priced at £56.95 or two for just £99 and when you consider that you won’t need to buy different sizes or Tog ratings, they’re a very beautiful, soft and snuggly bargain! They have even been voted “Best Buy” from Practical Parenting.
Bambino Merino also sell a lovely range of merino clothing and sleepwear. Imogen was sent a pair of their Unisex Summer Pyjamas in Petal. Made from superfine merino wool they are unbelievably soft and Imogen quickly declared them as her favourite, a huge compliment considering her huge range of Disney Princess jim-jams. They consist of a t-shirt pyjama top and striped short pyjama bottoms. She looks gorgeous in them and as her room is always the hottest in the house, I don’t have to worry about her overheating. These are priced at £24.95.
Here are my kiddywinks all ready for bed in their Bambino Merino goodies.
