Since the year new as part of the challenges I set myself, the kiddywinks and I have been hitting the pool at least once a week. I’m very lucky to have free access to a lovely quite and warm pool where I work. All of us love our leisurely dip in the pool and I’ve noticed a huge improvement in both Imogen and Joseph’s swimming since it became a regular affair. I have a slightly old, hot pink swimming costume that serves it’s purpose and keeps everything in place but I certainly wouldn’t win any fashion award in it but as the pool is quite I’m not that bothered, even if I do look a little like a pink hippo.
Yesterday it happened, something I’ve been dreading for a long time. It looked innocent enough as I removed it from Imogen’s book bag, just a regular sort of birthday party invitation until I noticed the location……. the local leisure centre, a swimming party!!!
The pool has been privately hired for an hour so that the children all 4 and 5 can enjoy the pool but because of their age a parent must supervise their own child in the water. For safety’s sake I wouldn’t want it any other way but now I’m in the situation where I HAVE to get into a pool semi naked with lots of other Mums and Dads. The pink hippo suit is a no, so I’m shopping!
My finger is currently hovering over the “add to basket” button on this number from BonPrix.
I love the frill detail to the top and the fact that it’s flared will disguise the tummy that two pregnancies has given me and at just £12.99 it’s a steal! At BonPrix you can find a whole host of tankinis, bikinis and other UK swimwear in sizes 8-30 as well as cover ups for the beach or poolside.
This post has been written in conjunction with BonPrix, however all thoughts are my own.
