Although we woke up to a covering of snow here in Devon this morning Spring is definitely in the air, the garden is starting to bloom with colour and this year’s plans for our vegetable patch are already in full swing.
Spring is a wonderful time of year and definitely one that the kiddywinks and I make the most of in the great outdoors, so when Plant Me Now (an online garden centre) got in contact to see if we’d be up for a bit of Springtime adventure and a photography challenge I was very excited. Our challenge is to spot 10 seasonal plants in bloom around our local area and capture them on camera. We have colourful game cards to record our sightings on and wellies if needed!
Imogen is really looking forward to the challenge as she loves nothing more than being outdoors and is always very determined when she has a task to complete. I, on the other hand am not the best photographer so this will be a huge challenge for me, but one I am willing to step up to. You see, Plant Me Now are selecting the best photograph taken during the Nature Trail to win £250 to spend with them and I’d love some more garden flowers as well as veggies. We’ve made a huge progress with the garden since our move here three years ago, but there’s always room for improvement.
Our challenge starts today and finishes on 2nd April so wish us luck!
