Anyone who reads this blog regularly will know that Imogen is all about princesses, fairies and anything pink and girly – a little bit like most five year old girls! So when I was asked if she’d like to review a Fairy Princess Craft Party box from Interplay I just knew she’d love it.
The Craft Party is available in four different themes and each box contains everything you’ll need to keep up to six children entertained for up to one and a half hours, making it great for birthday parties, playdates and if you’re brave enough sleepovers! The Fairy Princess box contains 6 foam tiaras, fairy wings and sticks and stars to make wands, there are also feathers, gems and stickers to decorate and easy to follow instructions. The stickers come on individual sheets and this eliminates any squabbling.
Imogen decided to get straight on with decorating her wings and wanted to add feathers to them. These are cleverly attached with the use of star shaped stickers, simply pop the stick of the feather into the hole on the sticker and then press it down. Voila! No need for messy glue!
Once decorated the wings are then attached with ribbon, Imogen obviously needed help with this and if I’m honest I’d like to see this a little longer than it is. The boxes are designed for children aged 5-8 and Imogen is at the bottom of this range and slim but I still didn’t have enough to tie the bow she wanted just a knot and this was very fiddly.
Extremely happy with her wings, Imogen then moved on to decorating her tiara and wand. The wands are simple to put together with two star shaped pieces of foam, one pink (self adhesive) and one lilac, all you need to do is put the stick in-between these two and press down. Then it’s all about decorating – queue more sticker and gems!
Imogen and her friend had a good two hours of fun putting together their Fairy Princess accessories and playing some great role play games once they had finished. The Fairy Princess Craft Party boxes are really well put together, I love everything is the same and stickers are on individual sheets and there are absolutely loads of them! At £24.99 they’re fantastic value for money and I’ll defiantly be getting one for Imogen’s birthday party in March, which each child creating something to take home it eliminates the need to party bags too!
